Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003, and became a part of Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 secs. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
